| Ever since I had Evangeline, I've been trying to think of a good way to "do" Christmas. My first idea was that everyone got THREE gifts because that's what Jesus got, but I nixed it because that doesn't really say anything about fairness. Other than that, I haven't had any good ideas except for setting a $$$ amount, which I haven't done either because the need really hasn't been there.
Anyway, I just joined a site called www.frugalvillage.com (so awesome, I might add.) I just stumbled across someone else's Christmas theme -- "Something you want, something you need, something to wear and something to read." PERFECT! We'll do stockings too, of course (because it's my favorite,) but I'm so glad to have a framework to go with. FINALLY!
*Starts list for girls...*
(PS I inadvertantly have "something to read" covered!)

Damn, I'm getting good. Today's savings was 55% -- a new record.
I'm also working on an experiment with Extra Care Bucks at CVS. This week I bought 1 Neutrogena Soap, 2 Neutrogena Scrubs, 4 cases of Pepsi and 10 Gatorades. My total investment was about $35.00. I have $17.00 in Extra Care Bucks from that shopping trip. Just how far do you think I can get with my $17.00. Pretty far, I bet. We shall see!
